Inside track - Douglas Chau
After the launch, we turned to Douglas Chau for further insight into the new Continental Supersports Convertible.
Extremely refined
This is the fastest four-seater convertible in the world, with a top speed of 325 kph, which is just over 200 mph. By contrast, you also have the finest in hand-stitched upholstery. And all that for a "mere" HK$5.1 million.
Inside track - Patrick Lee
After the spectacular launch party, we turned to Patrick Lee, managing director of Crown Motors, for further insight into the sporty version of the wish.
On track
Only a few months after the launch of its immensely popular Toyota wish for the family, Crown Motors introduced the latest model - with a break-dance party. At the brightly decorated Wan Chai Toyota showroom, the party got under way with heart-pounding hip-hop music.
Special Edition
And, this was no ordinary Aston Martin. The legendary British carmaker has taken two of its top-of-the line models, the DBS and V12 Vantage Coupe, and given them a special treatment, "Carbon Black," turning them into collectors' items.
High-tech!
In this road test, my first impression was of the advances in technology. For instance, I used to drive a 1965 Ford Mustang that produced a "magnificent" 200 horsepower out of a massive 4,700cc. Then, last week, I drove the Subaru Exiga, which produces 225 horsepower out of less than 2,000cc. Amazing!
A night to remember
For the hong kong launch of the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4, Kingsway Cars managing director Leo Wong and general manager Max Cheng invited customers and a few lucky members of the press to the Metal Zone of Elements in the ICC complex.
Refined convertible
It has long been a characteristic of Hong Kong motorists that if they drive an open-top car, they still search for total comfort. You may see a convertible with top down, but all the windows up, and the occupants relaxed in the air conditioning.
Power and glory
Max Cheng, general manager of Kingsway Cars, invited a few lucky journalists to the recent Lamborghini regional track event, held at Sepang Formula 1 circuit, Malaysia. The star of the show was the all-new Superleggera, boasting 570 horsepower and four-wheel drive.
